Frequently Asked Question
Do you take small projects or only full apps?
Yes, I’m happy to take on small projects as well as full app builds. Whether you need a quick feature, a bug fix, or a prototype, I can help. Many of my clients start with smaller milestones and then continue into bigger projects once we’ve built trust.
How long does it take to build an iOS app?
The timeline depends on the scope. A simple feature or prototype can be done in a few weeks, while a complete MVP usually takes 1–3 months. Larger apps with complex features may take longer. I’ll always give you a clear estimate after we define your project.
How much does an app cost?
Costs vary depending on the scope. A quick prototype or MVP is very different from a full-featured product. I don’t post fixed prices because every project is unique, but I always provide a clear estimate before starting. My goal is to keep pricing fair, transparent, and adapted to the project—whether it’s a small MVP or a larger build.
Do you work with startups on MVPs?
Yes. I often work with startups and founders on MVPs to help test ideas quickly and cost-effectively. Building a minimum viable product is a great way to validate your concept, get user feedback, and attract investors. I can guide you through this process and then continue scaling the app if it gains traction.
Do you offer post-launch support?
Yes. I don’t just ship and disappear — I can provide ongoing support after launch. This can include fixing bugs, monitoring crashes, updating for new iOS versions, and adding new features. We can set this up as a flexible agreement so your app stays reliable and up to date.
Can you integrate with my existing backend or team?
Yes. I can connect your iOS app to an existing backend or work with your current developers and designers. I’m used to collaborating in cross-functional teams as well as handling solo projects. My focus is making sure everything integrates smoothly so your app works reliably within your setup.
Do you also provide design or just development?
I focus on iOS development, but I can also support with basic UI/UX design. This includes drafting wireframes, layouts, and prototypes to help shape your app. If a project calls for more advanced design work, I’m happy to collaborate with a dedicated designer and make sure everything translates smoothly into code.
What technologies do you use?
I build apps in Swift using SwiftUI and Apple’s modern frameworks like Combine, async/await, SwiftData, and Swift Testing. I prefer a modern, native-first approach, but I’ve also worked with 3rd-party frameworks such as Moya, Realm, and RxSwift when projects required them. While UIKit is less central today, I’m experienced enough to handle mixed projects and migrate legacy code toward a modern codebase. My preferred tools include Xcode, GitHub, GitHub Actions, Fastlane, and TestFlight to ensure smooth collaboration, testing, and delivery. I also have experience integrating backend services and working with audio, video, or AI features when a project calls for it.
Do you work with remote clients?
Yes. Most of my projects are remote, and I’m comfortable collaborating across time zones using tools like GitHub, Slack, and Zoom. That said, I’m also open to on-site meetings or hybrid setups when it makes sense for a project.
Where are you based?
I’m based in the Algarve, Portugal, with close ties to Berlin, Germany. Most of my projects are remote, and I work with clients worldwide.
